As you can imagine, floor care costs can vary widely, even within a single cleaning discipline, but let's try to establish some guidelines.

With carpet cleaning, there are two types of services: low moisture cleaning and deep extraction. The first is about half the cost of the second but can only be used when the soil is not badly embedded in the carpet fibers. It is always better to maintain carpets rather than to let them go and then to restore them. We will not perform upholstery cleaning on its own unless there is a significant number of furniture items to clean. It is generally done with carpet cleaning. Our base cost for carpet cleaning (the lowest we will price) is $0.30 per square foot.

With vinyl floor care services, there are many services from which to choose. Floors that have been left go for a year or more will require stripping, sealing and refinishing. This may cost as much as $1.25 per square foot. Floors with only surface soil, can be scrubbed and recoated, and this may cost as little as $0.40 per square foot. Restoring the gloss by burnishing can cost as little as $0.25 per square foot.
